Dave Brown presents a pledge of $15,000 for the “River Hills Club Fun Room” to Shelia Breitweiser, president of the South Carolina School for the Deaf and the Blind in Spartanburg, SC. The pledge was made at the March 1st dinner meeting. The club will meet ther pledge in five years

A contribution from the estate of former Lion Basil V. Spanner enables the River Hills Lions Club to make significant donations to support eye research and other activities helping the blind in South Carolina

March 4, 2003 - Lion President Sandy Decker presents a check to Ellen Hamrick of the Storm Eye Institute in Charleston SC.

Ellen Hamrick tells the River Hills Lions Club about the work being done by the Storm Eye Institute. Storm eye will use the money to purchase a Heidelberg Retinal Tomography a critical instrument for the institutes work.

March 15, 2003 - Lion Dave Brown presents Kathy Dunleavy, Executive Director of The Walker Foundation  a check from the River Hills Lions for $10,000.  President Sandy Decker (left) looks on.

Kathy Dunleavy tells the River Hills Lions how The Walker Foundation will use the $10,000 to set-up a pre-school classroom. This classroom will be dedicated to the River Hills Lions Club.

June 2, 2003 - Lion Sandy Decker presents Nancy Knowles of the Leader Dog Foundation a check from the River Hills lions for $10,000.
